Beautiful cauldron mug depicting Lammas or Lughnasadh, the dragon representing the beginning of the season of harvest. The mug changes colour to reveal Sabbat symbols surrounding the dragon’s snake like head like a halo when you fill it with your hot drink. This gorgeous design by Anne Stokes is part of a set portraying the seasons celebrated in pagan festivals.
The Wheel of the Year is marked in the Pagan calendar by eight seasonal festivals: the Spring and Autumn Equinox; the Summer and Winter Solstice with the mid-points between these solar events making the other four,
The illustration depicts a red dragon symbolising the mid-point between the Summer Solstice and the Autumn Equinox, traditionally the first of the grain harvests. Above the dragon lies the symbol of Lammas, marking the festival ‘Lughnassad’ which inspired great gatherings in Pagan culture.
Pour a hot beverage inside and watch as the pagan symbols slowly become illuminated behind the red Lammas dragon.
