Description
Beautiful cauldron mug depicting Mabon, the dragon representing harvest time and the autumn equinox. The mug changes colour to reveal Sabbat symbols surrounding the dragon’s snake like head like a halo when you fill it with your hot drink. This gorgeous design by Anne Stokes is part of a set portraying the seasons celebrated in pagan festivals.
The Wheel of the Year is marked in the Pagan calendar by eight seasonal festivals: the Spring and Autumn Equinox; the Summer and Winter Solstice with the mid-points between these solar events making the other four,
Mabon, the symbol of the Autumn Equinox, sits atop the wheel and marks the second of the Pagan harvest festivals. The yellow and green dragons symbolises the colour of harvested corn. Mabon is a time to give thanks for Mother Earth’s abundance. Spiritually, it is the time to reflect; to recognise your successes and to let go of things that no longer serve you.
